I brought this lab for a home setup in 2024 April, just over a year ago. This Sysrack product is a great solution for home labs. It more than enough room to grow. I would recommend this lab to anyone looking to expand their home IT lab environments. Unfortunately, the delivered product had missing few locks. But after contacting the company, they sent me the locks. Great customer service.

we received this PDU with our rack last week I\'m looking on more specs like electrical specs and what can be exactly connected to it. Will you be able to provide more info? howmany4 amps it takes?

The rack fits my needs perfectly and support has been great. The included accessories also made it easy to complete my project quickly

I\'m just wondering. Does this fan have a temperature probe to turn it on or off when the temp in the rack rises, or must it run 24/7? Thanks

This is a great rack, but I have some caveats to mention (Don\'t worry it\'s not bad). So, ventilation could be better, this thing gets toasty as heck. Immediately I\'d suggest buying more, and better fans, some stuff that can move stupid amounts of air. Two, yeah it doesn\'t really work great in a closet like I have in this picture: https://i.imgur.com/oaZt232.jpeg I did move it back to where I originally had my servers to get some airflow, but yeah she\'s toasty. That said, this thing can fit a whole heck of a lotta proliants, and other funny stuff inside! The wheels are outstanding too, I can roll this fat bastard anywhere. The cutouts for cables, power lines, etc are great, construction is rock solid (Alone the cabinet is heavy as hell, loaded forget about it. But the castors help a TON, I\'m serious, they\'re good castors). Building it kicked my butt, but I also kept making stupid mistakes, and it was hot as hell. But it really is easy to build. I\'m gonna hate to have to relocate this eventually though, since it\'s gotta go down a bunch of stairs. (It\'s getting disassembled lol, but that should be very straight forward) But anyway, if you have HPE Proliants, especially the DL380s like I have, this bad boy fits them without any issues! I just gotta grab some extra shelves, those proliants don\'t like sitting on top of each other. Oh! and I expected rails for the proliants to slot into, it doesn\'t have those! So, yeah buy some shelves if you\'re doing that! I\'m not 100% sure yet, but I think this is the shelf you ( I ) need https://sysracks.com/product/pl-900-fixed-shelf-1u-srw-and-premium-cabinets/# So yeah, all said and done, I like it! I just wish it was a tiny bit less heavy, but heck the damn thing needs to support several hundred pounds, it makes sense that it\'s heavy itself.

This is a good quality rack that supports all the equipment I needed to rack up. I would only mention two things. One, the front door is to close to the face of racked equipment and wires such as fiber get bent. The alternative is so buy some rack brackets to recess the equipment but for full depth equipment or equipment that has it own rails those don\'t work. Two, the dual fans are very effective when the sides are installed on the rack, but the fans are terribly noisy. I am looking at replacing the fans with much quieter versions but need to ensure I find the correct fans/Voltage/etc.

This case is really well made for what they are charging for it. It was packed for shipping very very well. So well, it took me over half an hour to even get the parts out of the box. I have never put together a rack before (and I got the 18U version), but I took my time and was able to get it together. They have both a video and documented instructions, but both are pretty lacking. The item comes with several different bags of screws that are clearly numbered, but no where do the instructions tell you to \"use the screws from bag #4\" (for example). Even with that, I took my time and was able to assemble it. It was made really well, and even with the lack of detail in the instructions, it wasnt too bad to figure out what was intended. I found the case fans provided very loud,. so replaced them with different ones. I still like that they were included. as well as the shelf and Power supply. It was very nice to have all these included accessories, so that someone purchasing the item has a good chance of using it right out of the box with what is included. This is good value for money, and I would recommend it whole heartedly, even though I found a couple of things that could be improved. I was just very impressed with the quality of the product for the price charged.

This 18U rack is solid and really helps reduce server noise. Assembly took a bit longer, but the result looks neat and professional.

The acoustic rack really makes a difference — the noise from my servers dropped noticeably, and it still keeps everything cool.

These rack blanking panels are easy to install and provide a clean, tidy look. However, their solid design can slightly restrict airflow, which is something to consider when dealing with densely packed equipment.

These rack blanking panels do the job well and look neat in the rack. I just wish the material felt a bit more solid.

Would be 5 stars if not for all the minor scratches and dents. Nothing major enough that has me wanting to repackage the thing.

This 18U rack is great for AV setups – it holds all my audio/video equipment. The mesh panels help with ventilation, though the mounting hardware could be a bit simpler to use.

This 4U drawer works good as a network rack tray – keeps all my tools and accessories organized. It's sturdy and slides smoothly.
